About Rochelle Steder

Hello!

I am an Illustrator and Designer located in the Chicago-land area living with my husband and two children. My passion for illustration goes all the way back to my childhood years when I filled countless notebooks with doodles and made up comics. My family and my educators were always supportive and encouraged me to reach my dream of becoming an Illustrator.

I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2011 with a BFA in Illustration. Through my studies I have found that I really enjoy creating narrative illustrations that tell a story using bold color palettes to create the mood and setting. My work is primarily created in digital media, however I like to experiment with different ways to incorporate traditional aspects and textures into my work to give it a more tangible feel. I have done work for a variety of clients with projects ranging from illustrating children’s books, board games, surface patterns, beverage labels, event posters, and logos for small businesses.

When I’m not drawing, I enjoy making crafty projects, hiking in the woods, and relaxing with a tasty craft beer.
